Bailey System 5000 FR MF is a high quality, fire rated, single layer bitumen felt membrane system that utilises hot-air welding of joints and laps, removing the hazard of flames during application. The single layer (to main field areas only) makes it very quick to lay, when compared with multi-layer systems. The system has been tested and achieved the highest European fire classification of Broof(t4) when tested to TS 1187 Test 4. And as a completely flame-free system, fixed by mechanical fasteners and tube-washers in the lap joints, it is ideally suited to roofs where combustible materials and fire-hazards are present.

It's SBS-modified bitumen provides the system with excellent cold-temparature flexibility and suppleness. The high SBS content ratio allows the bitumen to 'bleed' quickly when hot-air welding the laps and also aids in the forming of the membrane around tricky details along with allowing for building movement.
